Australian official who was here last week said his country continued to be a great education destination. Stephen Connelly, president of the International Education Association of Australia and Vice-President of RMIT, said both Melbourne and Delhi had succeeded on the world stage as proud Commonwealth Games host cities. “Unemployment in Australia, at 5.1%, is considerably lower than in countries such as New Zealand, the UK, Canada and the US‟. Connelly also highlighted new statistics from Victoria Police about public safety. „There has been a 27.5% drop in city assaults in the past three months compared with the same time last year‟, he said RMIT University is Australia‟s largest multi-sector educational institution, producing some of Australia‟s most employable graduates.
